Despite him having a force ten hangover from hell, I made Mr Scruff travel on the bus and tube to Covent Garden so Little P could meet Hello Kitty!
I take my hat of to him. He did it with barely a complaint. I was slightly concerned when he was holding the Boy on the bus and a woman started talking to him. One whiff of his booze breathe and all sorts of assumptions could be made!
Anyway we made it to the Artbox shop. Little P was fast asleep so I can only imagine what went through her head when we roused her and there standing in front of her was a seven foot moving, dancing, waving Kitty. Her idol.
Her reaction was typical of P. She smiled from ear to ear, pointed at Kitty and said "funny". With that she wondered off in the other direction.
Despite much coaxing from us, she wouldn't go and shake Kitty's hands. Instead she looked on from afar, pointing, laughing and admiring the enormous pink shoes Kitty was wearing.

I am so glad we made the effort to venture into town. Despite living in London, we so rarely do, but we have vowed to get the kids more involved in their city and all it has to offer. Hopefully little jaunts like this will stay in Little P's mind and form memories that will last a lifetime .

yes please to slice of cake! Poor hubby - fancy meeting Kitty with a raging hangover!!
A force 10 hangover from hell and being forced to meet a life-size Kitty - grounds for divorce surely?
I would have done the same! I've just hurled abuse at my husband who has happily let me deal with The Girl and her breakfast etc this morning, whilst he lazed in bed waiting for me to bring him breakfast in bed! Grr.
Stupid me for cooking it and bringing it up though!
my little one would have gone MENTAL if she'd seen HK. HK is one of her favourite things in the entire world. Though the Octonaughts are a close second at the moment. She chortles like a loon and says 'do you know what I'm thinking'
Yep, I sigh waiting for her to bellow 'OCTONAUGHTS'!! Arrgh!! Wretched Cbeebies!
Can't wait to take my little squirt into London tahhn. She'll love it.
Did you get your dress?
have a lovely Sunday. Hope the hubs is feeling better !;o) x
Every time we venture into London with the kids we say we should do it more often. Wish I'd know about Hello Kitty - Freyja would have loved that!
Hi Lorriane
I've made Carrot..hope thats okay!
Actually it sorted his hangover out..although he did look a shade of green on the bus there!
Hi Mummmmeeeeeeee
Yes, I ignored a few curses under his breathe when I made the suggestion!
Hi Rose Girl
No, my shopping day is tuesday. I just couldn't leave the kids with him! He hasn't been out for ages so i cant be that angry really!
Little P is just getting into the octonaughts, but her favourite is Loopy from driver dan! Althoigh I cant keep up with beebies, even if it is my saviour at times x
Hi Solveig
I only heard about it on twitter in teh morning as someone said they were going. We agreed that there is no point living and paying a premium for living in London if we dont actually use it!
Ooo I love Artbox, I've got some stuff for K from there although she's a bit too young to appreciate it! Great pic of Miss P keeping a safe distance from the huge Hello Kitty!
I actually missed out my usual playgroup a couple of weeks ago as the previous night I'd shared a couple of bottles of wine with an ex work colleague. I didn't want all the yummy mummies thinking I was some kind of lush! x
Hello Mummy Bear, just left a rambling comment and it's disappeared! So here's the abridged version! Thanks for findiing me at dummiesndoghairs.I thought I had a decent chap when I manage to pack him off with the girls to a playgroup on a Saturday am...but going up to Cov G...on public transport....with a hangover...to meet Hello Kitty? That deserves the Selfless Parent Award. Without question :-)
